Birgitta Sif studied art and design in the United States and worked as a children’s book designer before moving to England to study illustration. Her debut picture book, Oliver, won Iceland’s Dimmalimm Award and was endorsed by Amnesty International U.K., which stated: "It reminds us that we are all born free and equal, and we all have our own thoughts and opinions."
