Until one day, coming home along, Fay is forced to pay attention. The big, black dog growls angrily at her "SAY HELLO!" he demands, terrifying poor little Fay so she can't eat a bite of lunch. Her concerned parents help Fay see herself and the big, black dog in a different light, with new understanding and self-confidence, Fay makes a fine new friend.
