Shelley Emling has been a journalist for twenty years, her work, including science articles, has previously appeared in The New York Times, Fortune, Slate, and The International Herald Tribune. During her pregnancy, she was the author of the popular “Shelley’s Diary” blog for, the leading site for expectant parents. She is also the author of Your Guide to Retiring to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Beyond. She currently lives in London.
