Born in Collingwood, Ontario, and raised in British Columbia, Lynn Johnston was the first woman to win the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year for her work on the comic strip For Better or For Worse. In 2003, she was presented with a star on Canada's Walk of Fame. Lynn and her husband, Rod, live in Northern Ontario, Canada.
