Theresa Perry is associate professor and vice president for community relations at Wheelock College in Boston. She is editor of Teaching Malcolm X and coeditor with James Fraser of Freedom's Plow: Teaching in the Multicultural Classroom .

Lisa Delpit is the Benjamin E. Mays Professor of Urban Educational Leadership at Georgia State University in Atlanta and author of Other People's Children. This book is published in collaboration with the magazine Educational Journal, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
