Peter Stewart was born in Belfast in 1971 and educated at the Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Clare College, Cambridge. He was Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Classics, Cambridge, 1997-8; Lecturer in Classics and Curator of the Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology, University of Reading,
1998-2000. He currently teaches at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.
