Robert S. McElvaine, PhD is Elizabeth Chisholm Professor of Arts and Letters and Chair of the Department of History at Millsaps College. Two of his book on the Great Depression were named "Notable Books of the Year" by The New York Times, and his articles and opinion pieces appear frequently in such publications as The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, and The Nation. He has been a guest on numerous television and radio programs, including NBC’s "Today," NPR’s "All Things Considered," and "Morning Edition."
