JOHN CORNWELL is the author of the international bestseller Hitler’s Pope, and also The Pontiff in Winter. An award-winning journalist, he has written for Vanity Fair, The Sunday Times (London), Commonweal, and The Tablet. He is a Fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge, where he directs the Science and Human Dimension Project.
