PHIL RICH, EdD, MSW, is an experienced psychotherapist who has been in practice for more than 20 years. He has taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels and led professional workshops. He was born and raised in London, England, and now lives with his family in Amherst, Massachusetts.

LITA LINZER SCHWARTZ, PhD, ABPP (Forensic), is Distinguished Professor Emerita at the Pennsylvania State University. She has written, edited, or coauthored more than 15 books previously, including Painful Partings: Divorce and Its Aftermath (Wiley), Mid-Life Divorce Counseling, and The Dynamics of Divorce.
