Angie Cannon is a senior writer at U.S. News & World Report, where she writes about political, legal, and social issues. Before joining the magazine in 1998, she covered the Clinton White House and Justice Department for the Knight-Ridder Washington Bureau from 1993 to 1998. She previously was a staff writer for the Miami Herald, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Detroit News. She lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with her son.
